Psychological Testing

The administration of a psychological assessment involves addressing the purpose for the question through psychological testing. Kathleen Murray, Ph.D. is the Test Administer for Psychology Services of Ottumwa. The most common assessment protocols used, as well as the purpose of the evaluation, are provided below. The times in parentheses are approximate testing times that do not include the time for report writing. The time for the protocol depends on the number of test administered.

Almost any assessment of functioning can be made based on the assessment question. Any combination of measures relative to the reason for the assessment can be used, however, choice of measures used is based on standards established by empirical evidence.*

*All Evaluations/Testing’s require an intake prior to beginning. The fee for this intake is $180/hr. and is usually no more than 1 hour.
